Rising Above book
In Rising Above, Green Beret Sean Rogers chronicles the toughest battle of his life: the long, painful fight to confront his darkest fears and reclaim his life. After struggling as a young man to accept the raw trauma of his past, he eventually learned to understand and embrace it, ultimately using it to become an elite Special Forces operator.
Through this profoundly honest and inspiring memoir, Rogers explores what it means to make the pain of your past work for you, showing you how to harness the truth of your own reality and take control of your destiny.
What a refreshing and honest example of how to become a better person. To allow the world to glimpse into Sean’s most vulnerable moments in an earnest effort to better others is extraordinary.
I’m a Veteran and Retiring Peace Officer and I held on to my PTS byway of coping mechanisms. The book encapsulates simple but key variables that further validates some of the things I’ve seen and experienced. Thank You

Crazy to read about Bucks childhood and the horrors he and his brother experienced, but then also have him note that it can always be worse. Shows a true judge of character and a beast mentality.
Buck’s book is outstanding, It demonstrates how an intense upbringing develops character that can exceed expectations in the military and accomplish more than most.
I haven't read the book yet --- I'm still processing the me getting started on reading the book, (I have my own childhood trauma) but I'm so glad I have a book that relates the some of the things I've had to experience unfortunately, as a child, a teen and a young man. Now, as I journey into adult manhood, I look to read this book as a way to have a book version of a male companion who understands some of my pain and a way to understand theirs, with the intent to share my own childhood trauma one day. Thanks Sean. Much love man 🤙🏾💯😎
