18X contract / NG

  Hey Guys! 
  
  

  I am new currently a police officer in Michigan, exploring the possibility of joining the national guard and going SF. 
  
  

  Wondering if anyone has expierience joining NG SF without prior military service. Michigan doesn't have an SF unit, so it looks like I'd have to commute to either Indiana or Ohio. Not sure if an 18x contract is possible for me since Michigan doesn't have an SF unit. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

  Hey Marc, welcome. 

   

  Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the NG side of the house. I would recommend reaching out to the nearest SF Guard unit and speaking with one of their recruiters. They should be more than willing to assist you.
